How it Works
Alma Dye-VL uses narrowband pulsed light, a next-generation IPL technology that selectively targets pigment and vascular lesions. The light energy is absorbed by unwanted pigment or blood vessels, causing them to break down and fade naturally—while leaving surrounding skin unharmed. This results in clearer, brighter, more even-toned skin over time.
Treatment Timeline
15–30 minutes depending on area
Most clients require 3–5 treatments spaced 3–4 weeks apart
Results: Dark spots usually darken then flake off over 5–10 days. Redness gradually fades after each session, revealing a clearer, brighter complexion.
Pre-Treatment Care
To prepare for your Alma Dye-VL appointment:
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 2 weeks
- Stop retinoids and exfoliating acids for 5–7 days
- Avoid self-tanner for 1–2 weeks
- Arrive with clean skin free of makeup
- Inform your provider of any recent sun exposure or photosensitive medications
Post-Treatment Care
To protect your skin and maximize results:
- Expect mild redness or warmth for a few hours
- Pigmented spots will darken before they shed, this is normal
- Avoid picking or scrubbing treated areas
- Avoid hot showers, saunas, and exercise for 24 hours
- Apply gentle moisturizer and SPF 30+ daily
- Avoid sun exposure during your treatment series
Downtime: Typically none to minimal. Some clients experience mild flaking for a few days.
